The Second Open Europe Mahjong Championship ended on June 24, in Copenhagen, Denmark. 133 players form more than ten countries and regions had participated in this event. This Championship used . Players from Europe and America show great improvement in their playing skills. A player from Denmark was crowned Champion.
Japanese players also show their skills, but a Japanese player was caught cheating during the play. It brought some cloud over the Japan Delegation nonetheless.
Chinese player were surprised by other players' fast improvement. As a result, they weren't fair very well in this Championship. Chinese players have to better prepare for the First World Mahjong Championship.
