Organizing Committee of China Majiang Championship applied to host the Fifth World Mahjong Championship in China later part of next year. Congress of World Mahjong Organization also will be held at same time, according to minutes of meeting during the Fourth World Mahjong Championship. Time and location will be revealed later by Organizing Committee.
A selection of Mahjong competitions will be held piror to the Championship in order to able players qualify for the Championship.
